Job Description

This is a part-time front office reception role in the hotel industry. You will be responsible for the effective running of the hotel during your shift, providing a welcoming service to guests and ensuring an effective handover to the following shift.

Key responsibilities

n

Provide a welcoming and quality service and experience for guests, checking guests in and out as required

n

Manage and confirm guest accounts, ensuring all data is accurate and posted in the system as necessary

n

Take and enter reservations into the operating system

n

Answer guest queries in a positive, timely and efficient manner, liaising with other departments as necessary

n

Manage the daily reconciliation of the hotel as necessary

n

Ensure house security and detect breaches of laws by which the company is governed

n





Handle disruptive guests and ensure their discreet removal from the property if needed

n

About you

n

At least 2 years experience in a similar role in the hotel industry

n

Focused, reliable and well-organised

n

Exceptional phone manner and customer service skills

n

Ability to work under pressure

n

Eye for detail and ability to pick up systems and procedures in a timely manner

n

Excellent grooming and presentation standards

n

Success in a similar role with exposure to front office reception and reservations work

n

Flexible to work on a 7-day rotating roster

n

Willing to work mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends and public holidays for 6 months minimum

n

Necessary rights to work full-time in Australia
