Job Description

Amarti is a restaurant, wedding and events venue located in Cowwarr, Gippsland. Our kitchen provides restaurant dining together with catering for weddings, private functions and special events. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality meals for restaurant service, weddings and functions.

Key responsibilities

Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality meals

n

Preparing food for restaurant service, weddings and functions

n

Assisting with menu planning and development

n

Ensuring consistency in food quality, presentation and portion control

n

Coordinating food preparation and service during busy periods

n

Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering and stock control

n

Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organisation

n

Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements

n

Working collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff

n

Assisting with the efficient day-to-day operation of the kitchen

n





About you

n

Relevant commercial cookery qualifications or equivalent preferred

n

Previous experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen

n

Solid food preparation and cooking skills

n

Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements

n

Ability to work efficiently in a busy restaurant and events environment

n

Good organisational and time-management skills

n

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

n

Availability to work weekends and evenings as required

n

Experience with Italian or European cuisine and/or wedding and event catering will be highly regarded
