Disability Support Worker - Brisbane South, Logan and Ipswich

Bountiful Care is a Disability Support Service that specialises in delivering complex care to participants through the NDIS. We are a boutique service that is run by a Registered Nurse and strives to deliver a high level of person-to-person centred care.

We are looking for Support Workers experienced in Complex Disability Cares to join our energetic care team. Immediate start with multiple positions available in and surrounding the following areas: Ipswich, Logan and Brisbane South.

Key Criteria:

n

Experience in providing care for clients with complex physical disabilities is required

n

Willingness to provide personal cares including complex bowel therapy is essential

n

Willingness to work all shifts over a 24 hour a day 7 day a week roster of care

n

Great communication skills and emotional resilience

n

High level of English proficiency, including speaking, listening, and comprehension

n

Own transport required

n

A 'can do' attitude and strong initiative

n

Empathy and a caring nature

n

Ability to follow strict procedures and protocols

n





Ability to work individually and as team

n

First Aid/CPR certificate required

n

Disability Worker Screening Card required

n

The Role:

n

Work closely with the Bountiful Care management team to promote the participant's quality of life.

n

Follow strict care plans to assist participant with all activities of daily living, such as personal cares, mealtime management, medication administration and domestic duties.

n

Collaborate with family members, allied health professionals and other support team members to deliver a high level of care.

n

Facilitate and participate in home activities that provide emotional and mental health enrichment for the participant.

n

Facilitate and participate in community access to promote participant wellbeing, as well as attending medical appointments.

n

Document participant progress and maintain detailed and accurate records.

n

Various shifts available depending on client location. Rates ranging from $42.00-$88.50.
