You'll work alongside SAA-accredited electricians and electrical apprentices to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality solar and battery installations. This is a permanent position with a flexible compressed working week, consistent work and the opportunity to become a key member of a professional solar and battery installation crew.

Key responsibilities

- Setting out residential and commercial solar arrays
n
- Installing roof brackets, rails, rooftop equipment and solar panels
n
- Measuring and marking array positions accurately
n
- Locating rafters and selecting appropriate fixing methods
n
- Completing tile, metal and other common roof penetrations correctly
n
- Weatherproofing penetrations and protecting the integrity of the roof
n
- Assisting with rooftop cable pathways and cable management
n
- Installing rooftop equipment under the direction of the licensed electrician
n
- Identifying cracked tiles, roof damage and potential installation risks
n
- Loading, unloading and organising installation materials
n

About you

- Can confidently install brackets, rail and panels without constant supervision
n
- Understand different roofing materials and fixing methods
n
- Produce straight, secure and visually tidy solar arrays
n
- Understand the importance of correct waterproofing
n
- Are comfortable working safely at heights
n
- Are physically fit and capable of undertaking manual work
n
- Are reliable,
punctual and organised
n
- Work well as part of a professional installation team
n
- Demonstrated solar roofing or rooftop solar installation experience
n
- Construction White Card
n
- Current Working Safely at Heights training
n
- Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors
n
- Reliable transport to our Gregory Hills base

- Right to work in Australia
