The prospect

n

We're hiring a Fire Electrical Technician for our Broken Hill, NSW team to inspect, test, maintain and repair fire detection and electrical fire protection systems across commercial, healthcare and government sites.

n

The work is structured, the schedule is planned, and the compliance trail is clean. You'll be trusted to run your own day, supported by a team that knows AS 1851, fire detection systems and compliance requirements.

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Inspect, test and maintain fire detection and electrical fire protection systems to AS 1851
n
- Service and maintain fire indicator panels, detection systems, EWIS and associated equipment
n
- Diagnose electrical and system faults and complete repairs, replacements and minor upgrades
n
- Test and maintain associated fire protection equipment and interfaces
n
- Complete compliant baseline data and condition reports for client portfolios
n
- Complete service reports, photos and asset data through our mobile platform
n
- Provide accurate verbal handovers and recommendations to site contacts

- Respond to breakdowns, faults and after-hours callouts when required
n

What you'll bring

n

n
- Certificate II or Certificate III in Fire Protection and Testing, or relevant fire electrical qualifications
n
- Electrical trade qualification/licence or relevant fire systems electrical experience
n
- PAS accreditation (or eligibility) for routine servicing of fire protection systems
n
- Sound working knowledge of AS 1851
n
- Experience with fire indicator panels and fire detection systems
n
- Current driver's licence
n
- Right to work in Australia
n

Bonus points for

- Experience with Notifier, Vigilant, Simplex or similar FIP systems
n
- Dry fire endorsements
n
- Confined space, working at heights and EWP tickets
n
- Experience with EWIS, emergency lighting or associated fire electrical systems
n
- Additional electrical or fire industry qualifications
n
