About the Opportunity

n

Synergie is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Assistant Business Controller in Smithfieldto join our client who specialises in Industrial Service and Equipment (ISE) business.

n

This role will support the Business Controller in providing high-quality financial analysis, reporting and commercial insights to support effective business decision-making. You will play an important role across financial reporting, forecasting, business planning, internal controls and performance analysis.

n

About the Role

n

Working closely with the Business Controller, Financial Controller and broader finance team,



you will be responsible for supporting the financial management and performance of the ISE business.

n

n
- Temp to perm Assistant Business Controller ASAP for 6 months
n
- Monday to Friday - 38 hour per week. OT when it comes to month-end.
n

n

Your key responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Supporting monthly and quarterly financial reporting, forecasting and annual planning.
n
- Preparing and analysing P&L; and Balance Sheet results and reconciliations.
n
- Providing financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.
n
- Developing and maintaining financial reporting tools, KPI reports and dashboards.
n
- Supporting cost structure, cash flow, asset and profitability analysis.
n
- Assisting with customer and project profitability analysis.
n
- Supporting credit control, customer credit limits and accounts receivable follow-up.
n
- Maintaining and implementing effective internal controls and finance best practices.
n
- Supporting internal and external audit activities.
n
- Assisting with statutory reporting and compliance requirements.
n
- Supporting risk management and internal control processes.
n
- Working with Sales, Project Management, Branch Managers and Service Managers on financial matters.
n
- Providing financial support to frontline business operations.
n
- Contributing to special projects and other ad-hoc finance initiatives.

About You

n





To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar finance, business controlling or financial management role.
n
- Experience with financial analysis, reporting and business controlling.
n
- Strong understanding of project financials and project financial follow-up.
n
- Experience working with SAP FICO or similar ERP/finance systems.
n
- Solid Excel skills and confidence working across Microsoft Office applications.
n
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
n
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
n
- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
n
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
n
- A proactive and commercially focused approach to financial analysis.
