We are seeking a proactive and organised Theatre Orderly & Stores Coordinator to join our team in a newly created hybrid role.

About the Role

n

This unique role combines Theatre Orderly responsibilities with Stores and Inventory Coordination duties.

n





You will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of our theatre environment by assisting with patient movement, theatre preparation, stock management and logistics.

n

No two days are the same. You'll be involved in both frontline operational support and behind-the-scenes coordination that helps keep our surgical services running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

n

Theatre Support

n

n
- Prepare operating theatres for daily surgical lists
n
- Assist with patient transfers and positioning
n
- Transport patients between theatre and recovery
n
- Support theatre teams throughout operating lists
n
- Clean and prepare beds, theatre areas and equipment
n
- Replenish consumables and clinical supplies
n
- Assist with medical gas cylinder replacement
n
- Support theatre flow across multiple operating theatres
n
- Conduct stock checks and inventory monitoring
n
- Place orders and manage purchasing administration
n
- Receive, unpack and distribute supplies
n
- Monitor backorders and supplier deliveries
n
- Maintain organised storerooms and stock control systems
n
- Support purchasing and invoice administration processes
n
- Ensure clinical areas remain fully stocked and operational
n

About You

- We're looking for someone who is hands-on,



dependable and enjoys working as part of a team.

- Strong organisational and time management skills
n
- Good computer literacy and confidence using systems and technology
n
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
n
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
n
- Comfortable undertaking physically active work and manual handling tasks
n
- Theatre Orderly or Hospital Orderly experience
n
- Assistant in Nursing (AIN) experience
n
- Stores, inventory or logistics experience
n
- Healthcare, hospital or day surgery experience
n
- Experience using purchasing or procurement systems
n
- Knowledge of medical terminology
n
