Employer: Black Sheep Garage Suburb: Fortitude Valley Pay: Up to AU$79,423/year Job description: We are looking for an experienced Automotive Mechanic/Motor Mechanic or Technician servicing light vehicles to work Full time 8:30 to 17:30 Mon-Fri We're a family owned workshop of car enthusiasts that services and repairs all makes and models, we pride ourselves on the work we do, and we're looking for a like-minded person to join our team.

- Detecting, diagnosing and fix mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts, utilizing a variety of tools for troubleshooting
n
- Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
n
- Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
n
- Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrication and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
n




- Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired
n
- Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
n
- Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers
n
- Test drive and ensure that the issue has been fixed
n

-Write a report after every job

- Qualifications: At least an AQF Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
n
- Experience: At least 1 year of prior experience in the industry is a must
n
- Current driver's license
n

Skills

- Be knowledgeable about engines and transmissions
n
- You must be able to diagnose issues and recommend repairs independently
n
- Be organized and punctual
n
