Our client is an established national professional services and advisory firm with a significant corporate finance capability across Australia. As part of the continued development of its Melbourne M&A; practice, an opportunity exists for an experienced Manager or Senior Manager to support the dedicated M&A; Partner and play a key role in the team's growth.

The Opportunity

n

Working closely with the Melbourne M&A; lead, the successful candidate will take a senior execution role across a strong pipeline of mid-market transactions, typically ranging from $10 million to $150 million in enterprise value.

n

The team advises business owners, corporates and private equity investors across acquisitions, divestments and strategic transactions, with current mandates spanning founder-led and private equity-backed businesses.

n

As a key senior member of the Melbourne practice, you will have considerable scope to take ownership of transactions, work directly with clients and develop junior team members.

Key responsibilities will include:

n

- Managing M&A; transactions across the full deal lifecycle;
n
- Financial analysis, valuation and transaction modelling;
n
- Preparing and reviewing transaction materials;
n
- Managing buyer engagement, due diligence and transaction workstreams;
n
- Working directly with business owners, management teams and investors;
n
- Managing and developing junior team members; and
n
- Contributing to client development and the continued growth of the Melbourne M&A; practice.

Required Skills & Experience

n





We are seeking an experienced corporate finance professional with strong transaction fundamentals and the ability to independently drive deal execution.

n

The successful candidate will ideally bring:

n

n
- Experience within M&A; / lead advisory, corporate finance or a related transaction environment;
n
- Exposure to end-to-end M&A; transactions;
n
- Solid financial modelling, valuation and analytical capability;
n
- Sound understanding of transaction processes and due diligence;
n
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills;
n
- Experience managing or developing junior professionals; and
n
- A proactive, commercially minded approach with the confidence to take ownership.
n
- Full Australian working rights, with no requirement for current or future visa sponsorship.
n

Candidates may currently be working within a Big Four, mid-tier or boutique corporate finance team. We would also welcome discussions with Transaction Services professionals with broader M&A; exposure or corporate development professionals with a strong prior advisory background.
