Job Description

- Prepare and check detailed engineering drawings for architectural approval, setting up drawings and details based on architectural layouts, structural designs, and tender packages.
n
- Develop and review 2D and 3D shop drawings, panel drawings, bar drawings, and small parts/component details required for precise manufacturing and site installation.
n
- Perform detailed mathematical calculations to prepare and check Material Take-Offs (MTOs) for accurate quantity verification.
n
- Assist in estimating material requirements and executing component/material purchasing within defined project budgets.
n
- Liaise directly with Architects, Builders, Structural Consultants, and Owners to resolve preliminary and detailed engineering/design issues.
n
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Production Managers, and Purchasing Officers to align drafting outputs with production capabilities and project timelines.
n
- Prepare and manage project design and drafting schedules across multiple concurrent projects to meet strict contractual deadlines.
n
- Issue and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs)



and formal project correspondence via phone, email, and web-based Common Data Environments (CDEs) such as Aconex and TeamBinder.
n
- Maintain comprehensive electronic and hard-copy project files, issue registers, transmittals, and drawing packages for both internal distribution and external client issue.

What we're looking for

n

n
- Extensive knowledge of Autocad is essential along with a minimum of 10 years commercial facade drafting experience is essential
n
- Australian work rights are required for this position
n
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality, technically accurate drawings
n
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
