The Role

n

Reporting to the Group Quality & Accreditations Manager, this role leads the Quality team within a highly complex setting, overseeing the day-to-day Quality function, including four Officers in Charge and a broader team of approximately 15 QA Officers.

- Lead and develop Officers in Charge and the broader QA team
n
- Drive compliance across food safety, quality, regulatory and customer standards
n
- Lead investigations, corrective actions and preventative improvement activities
n
- Partner closely with Operations to improve quality and food safety performance
n
- Support external audits, regulatory inspections and customer requirements
n
- Provide guidance across HACCP, approved arrangements and site procedures
n




- Develop team capability, training and performance across the Quality function
n
- Build robust relationships with operational, regulatory and leadership stakeholders
n

Your Background

n

This role will suit an experienced Quality professional who has led a broad Quality function, including supervisors and QA teams, with strong people leadership capability and experience operating within a highly regulated food manufacturing environment.

- Proven leadership experience within food manufacturing or a regulated FMCG environment
n
- Strong knowledge of food safety, quality and compliance systems, including HACCP
n
- Experience leading and developing Quality Assurance teams
n
- Strong understanding of regulatory and customer audit requirements
n
- Experience managing investigations, non-conformances and corrective actions
n

n

Experience within export food manufacturing, meat processing or another highly regulated protein environment will be highly regarded. The role also requires relevant industry certifications and a strong understanding of food safety and regulatory requirements.
