Whitlam Landscapes is a Sydney based commercial landscape contractor delivering landscape construction packages across residential, commercial, education, public domain and mixed use developments.

We are seeking an experienced Landscape Estimator to manage the preparation of accurate, commercially sound tender submissions and support the continued development of our estimating function.

The Role
n
The Landscape Estimator will be responsible for reviewing tender documentation, completing detailed quantity take offs, obtaining market pricing, preparing cost estimates and coordinating tender submissions.
n
The role requires a strong understanding of landscape construction, construction documentation and commercial estimating principles.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Review architectural, landscape, civil and structural drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
n
- Complete detailed quantity take offs from construction drawings.
n
- Prepare internal Bills of Quantities and detailed cost estimates.
n
- Price labour, materials, plant, equipment and subcontracted works.
n
- Review construction methodology and assess its impact on cost and programme.
n
- Assist with tender handover,
procurement and project cost planning following award.
n

Candidate Requirements
n
The successful candidate will ideally have:
n
n
- Previous estimating experience within commercial landscaping.
n
- Demonstrated experience completing quantity take offs from construction drawings.
n
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and scope documentation.
n
- High level of competency in Microsoft Excel.
n
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines concurrently.
n
n
Experience estimating commercial landscape packages valued between approximately $500,000 and $3 million will be highly regarded.
