About the role

n

St Agnes' Catholic Parish is seeking a Cleaner to join our team at St Agnes' Residential Care.

n

As a Cleaner, you'll play an important role in creating a secure, clean and welcoming home for our residents. Working as part of the wider residential care team, you'll deliver high-quality cleaning services while respecting residents' dignity, choices, independence, cultural backgrounds and individual needs.

n

Max term contract, October start till March 2027 - 3 days a week working - Monday 07:00 - 15:06, Thursday and Friday 10:30 - 15:00.

The main responsibilities of the role are

n

- Deliver a high standard of cleaning across resident rooms, bathrooms and communal areas
n
- Complete routine and project cleaning in accordance with established schedules and procedures
n
- Follow infection prevention and control, hygiene and Work Health and Safety requirements
n
- Safely use, store and maintain cleaning chemicals, equipment and supplies
n
- Manage waste in accordance with Parish policies and procedures
n
- Complete required cleaning records and documentation
n
- Monitor cleaning supplies and ensure adequate stock is maintained
n




- Respond to unexpected or urgent cleaning requirements as needed
n
- Interact with residents respectfully and support their dignity, choice, independence and individual needs
n

Who you are

n

n
- Previous cleaning experience, with experience in aged care, healthcare or a similar environment highly regarded
n
- Knowledge of the safe use and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment (Desirable)
n
- The ability to self-manage your day – excellent time management and prioritisation skills required
n
- An energetic, positive attitude with a genuine interest in and compassion for aged people
n
- A strength and desire to work as part of a collaborative team and the ability to work independently
n
- Able to follow procedures, instructions and work systems
n
- Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn relevant systems
n
- A commitment to ongoing learning and development
