About the role

n

On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking a dedicated, self-driven and highly organized Solid Plasterer to be part of their growing team. As a Solid Plasterer, you are responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing and applying cement or plaster coats, and creating smooth or decorative finishes on buildings.

n

Duties and Responsibilities

n

n
- Measuring and cutting plasterboards for pre installations.
n
- To apply fillings, varnishes, stains, vinyl and to walls and structures
n
- To select and prepare adhesive mixtures;
n
- Lifting and positioning panels and securing to walls and ceilings
n
- Preparing corner fittings such as measuring and cutting
n
- Applying coatings of plaster and cement to exterior and interior structure
n
- Installing fireproofing materials such as plaster, plastic cement and others
n




- Mixing and applying plaster coats and render structure fittings
n
- Apply finishing coats and creating textures for decoration
n
- Involve with the hiring and training of Apprentices
n
- Compliance with OH&S; guidelines;
n
- To complete other duties as required
n

Essential Skills

n

n
- Knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations.
n
- Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending and standing for extended periods.
n
- Attention to detail and ability to identify and repair imperfections or defects in plasterwork.
n
- Experience in preparing surfaces by cleaning, patching and applying undercoats or bonding agents.
n
- Ability to mix plaster ingredients to the appropriate consistency and texture.
n
- Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
n

Qualifications needed:

- Minimum Certificate level or equivalent relevant work experience
n
- Minimum one year of work experience on relevant position
n
