Embrace Community Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Female Disability Support Worker to join our team in Orchard Hills, NSW. This role is suited to someone who has a genuine passion for supporting people with disability and has the confidence, patience, and experience to work with complex support needs. You will provide person-centred support while promoting the participant's independence, dignity, safety, and wellbeing.

About The Role

n

n
- Provide person-centred support to a participant with complex support needs.
n
- Assist with personal care, daily living activities, meal preparation, and household tasks.
n
- Support community access, recreational activities, and social engagement.
n
- Provide emotional support and build a positive, respectful relationship with the participant.
n
- Follow individualised support plans and behaviour support strategies where required.
n
- Maintain the participant's dignity, privacy, safety, and wellbeing at all times.
n
- Recognise and respond appropriately to changes in the participant's needs and behaviour.
n
- Complete accurate shift notes, incident reports, and other required documentation.
n
- Work collaboratively with the participant, family, support team, and other professionals.
n
- Follow Embrace Community Care policies, procedures,



NDIS requirements, and relevant legislation.
n

What We're Looking For

n

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

n

n
- Previous experience in disability support, aged care, mental health, or a related sector.
n
- Experience supporting clients with complex support needs is highly desirable.
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- A calm, patient, and compassionate approach.
n
- The ability to build trust and positive relationships with participants.
n
- A genuine commitment to promoting independence and quality of life.
n
- Ability to follow support plans, policies, and professional directions.
n
- Strong understanding of participant rights, dignity, privacy, and safeguarding.
n
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
n
- Valid Australian driver's licence.
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
n
- Working With Children Check (WWCC).
n
- National Police Check.
n
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You.
n
- Australian working rights.
n
