Gemellini is looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen in the heart of Nobby Beach.

n

Part of the Gemelli Group, Gemellini is a busy neighbourhood Italian restaurant with a loyal local following. We're a smaller venue with a great customer base, and we're looking for someone who wants to take real ownership of their kitchen and their team.

The Role

n

This is a hands-on leadership position. You'll be responsible for running the kitchen day to day while maintaining the quality, consistency and standards our customers expect.

n

You will be responsible for:

n

n
- Leading, training and motivating the kitchen team
n
- Running smooth and organised services
n
- Managing ordering, stock control
n
- Managing food costs, wastage and labour
n
- Working to budgets and meeting agreed financial targets
n
- Rostering and managing kitchen labour effectively
n
- Maintaining consistency, portion control and presentation
n
- Maintaining food safety and kitchen compliance
n
- Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and senior management
n
- Creating a positive, professional and accountable kitchen culture
n

About You

n





We're looking for someone who is:

n

n
- An experienced Head Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to step up
n
- A great leader who knows how to get the best out of their team
n
- Experienced in Italian or Mediterranean cuisine
n
- Commercially minded and understands the numbers behind running a successful kitchen
n
- Confident with ordering, stock management, food costs and labour targets
n
- Organised, reliable and calm under pressure
n
- Hands‐on and happy to be part of service
n
- Passionate about quality, consistency and hospitality
n
