What's on offer?

Porta Products Oberon has an excellent chance for a trade qualified, experienced Electrician to join the team as an Electrical Coordinator at our Oberon facility in rural NSW.

n

Responsibilities include:

n

n
- Supervise work of employees / contractors to ensure schedules, safety, quality, efficiency and housekeeping standards are maintained.
n
- Oversee planned and breakdown maintenance activities in a methodical manner to ensure malfunctions are corrected and planned preventative maintenance is carried out with a high degree of efficiency.
n
- Review and analyse down time and reactive maintenance reports for opportunities to improve plant availability, reduce unplanned downtime and optimise plant performance.
n
- Supervise and provide coaching and development to apprentices to ensure they receive appropriate training in their vocational field and are fulfilling the practical assessment requirements of their training.
n




- At all times ensure adherence to all company policies (including Work Health and Safety, Environmental and Human Resources), safety standards and good housekeeping practice.
n
- Contributing to and actively participating in the ongoing transition to pro-active maintenance services and accurately registering work data in the maintenance systems.
n

Skills & Experience

n

To be successful in this role, applicants will have:

n

n
- Electrical Trade or Engineering qualifications and experience
n
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory role, desirable.
n
- Experience within a continuous production process
n
- Demonstrated experience in relation to downtime reduction strategy development and implementation
n
- A desire and ability to learn
n
- Sound knowledge of PLC systems and technologies.
n
- Demonstrated ability to schedule work, manage contractors and maintaining timelines for electrical shuts and projects.
n
- A desire to strive for continuous improvement and goal oriented
n
- Initiative and self motivation to maintain high standards in safety, quality and customer service
n
- A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to safety principles
n
