The Opportunity

Koppen Construction is seeking motivated and reliable Skilled and Experienced Civil Construction Labourers to join our growing team.

n

This is a hands-on role working across a diverse range of projects throughout Cairns and Far North Queensland, including:

n

- Road construction and road maintenance
n
- Pump station construction and maintenance
n
- Water and sewer infrastructure
n
- Stormwater drainage
n
- Pipe laying and underground services
n
- Civil earthworks and subdivisions
n
- Concrete works and reinstatement
n
- General civil construction and infrastructure projects
n

We complete both local Cairns-based work and regional remote projects, so successful applicants must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.

Essential Requirements

n

n
- Previous experience in civil construction, roadworks, pipe laying, water, sewer, stormwater, earthworks, or subdivisions
n
- Current Construction White Card
n
- Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport
n
- Experience using hand and power tools, including grinders, jackhammers, compactors, and similar equipment
n
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions
n
- Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
n




- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
n
- Willingness to travel and work away from home on regional and remote projects when required
n

Highly Regarded

n

n
- Experience in road construction and road rehabilitation projects
n
- Pipe laying and trench work experience
n
- Concrete construction experience
n
- Experience working around live water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure
n
- Excavator, skid steer, roller, or loader operating experience/ tickets
n
- Confined Space Entry ticket
n
- Working at Heights ticket
n
- Additional civil construction tickets and qualifications
n
