About the Role

n

- Develop new business across the electrical trade market
n
- Prospect and open new customer accounts
n
- Win business from competing wholesalers
n
- Build relationships with electrical contractors and trade customers
n
- Spend the majority of your time on the road in front of customers
n
- Identify upcoming projects, purchasing opportunities and new accounts
n
- Follow up opportunities consistently until they convert
n
- Grow revenue, margin and overall territory performance
n
- Work closely with the Branch Manager and internal sales team
n
- Maintain strong communication between customers and the branch
n
- Take ownership of your activity, pipeline and results
n

Who We're Looking For?

n

This role needs a genuine new‐business sales rep.

n

You could already be working as an External Sales Rep, BDM or Account Manager within electrical wholesale, trade supplies, industrial products or another contractor‐focused industry.

n





Industry knowledge is valuable, but the bigger priority is your ability to hunt, prospect and win business.

n

You need to be comfortable hearing no, walking into businesses where nobody knows you, making cold calls and continuing to follow up until you get an opportunity.

n

- Electrical wholesale or electrical industry experience is highly regarded
n
- Existing relationships with electrical contractors are highly regarded
n
- Proven B2B sales or business development experienceStrong new‐business prospecting ability

- Confidence approaching customers cold
n
- Ability to open and develop new accounts
n
- Commercial mindset and strong negotiation skills
n
- Resilience when dealing with rejection

- Strong relationship‐building skills
