Working as part of our friendly team at Pryde Meats Narellan, a busy retail butcher shop, you will prepare and cook quality ready-made meals, takeaway food and fresh products. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in preparing quality food, enjoys working with customers and thrives in a busy retail environment.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing and cooking ready-made meals such as pies and lasagnas
- Preparing cooked food for takeaway
- Ensuring all food is prepared and presented to a consistently high standard
- Serving customers and processing customer transactions
- Providing friendly and professional customer service
- Following food safety and hygiene requirements
- Maintaining clean, organised and safe work areas
- Assisting with general duties within the butcher shop as required
- Working efficiently in a busy retail environment

About you

- Previous experience cooking fast food, takeaway food or ready-made meals




- Hold a Commercial Cookery Certificate
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Positive communication and customer service skills
- A positive, reliable and enthusiastic attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
