Job Description
MAYDAY Recruitment is excited to be partnering with a growing organisation to find a Payroll Officer / HR Administrator to join their team.
n
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves payroll but also enjoys the variety that comes with HR. You'll take ownership of end-to-end payroll across multiple entities, while supporting recruitment, onboarding and the broader employee lifecycle.

- Salary:$75,000 – $80,000 + super, depending on experience

What you'll be doing
n
You'll be responsible for the smooth running of payroll while providing hands-on HR support, including:
n
n
- Managing accurate and timely end-to-end payroll across multiple entities.
n
- Processing starters, terminations, leave, superannuation, bonuses, allowances and adjustments.
n
- Managing PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation and workers compensation obligations.
n
- Completing payroll reconciliations, journals,
intercompany allocations and audit requirements.
n
- Being the go-to person for payroll queries and supporting employees with a high level of service.
n
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, employment contracts and pre-employment checks.
n
- Managing employee changes, HR records and performance review administration.
n
- Coordinating training, compliance and employee engagement initiatives.
n
- Identifying opportunities to improve and streamline payroll and HR processes.
n
n
About You:
n
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and genuinely enjoys working across both payroll and HR.
n
n
- 2+ years' experience in payroll and HR administration.
n
- Experience managing multi-entity payroll.
n
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, including Fair Work, PAYG, superannuation and payroll tax.
n
- Experience with Employment Herowill be highly regarded.
n
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
n
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
n
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders across the business.
n
- A high level of discretion when handling confidential information.
n
- Solid Excel skills and a hands‐on, collaborative approach.
n
