HR Truck Driver - Tautliner & Tailgate | Full Time I Newcastle

Team Global Express is looking for a reliable and safety-focused HR Truck Driver to join our team in Newcastle.

n

About the Role

n

This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday with start times between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM, depending on operational requirements. Overtime is available when required.

n

You'll be responsible for completing local pick-ups and deliveries, operating tautliner and tailgate trucks, and providing excellent service to our customers while maintaining the highest safety standards.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Safely operate HR tautliner and tailgate vehicles.
n
- Complete local deliveries and pick-ups within scheduled timeframes.
n
- Load and hand unload freight when required.
n
- Secure and restrain loads using the correct load restraint equipment.
n
- Complete daily vehicle pre-start inspections and report defects.
n
- Ensure accurate completion of delivery documentation.
n




- Follow all Team Global Express safety procedures and policies.
n
- Report hazards, near misses and incidents in accordance with company procedures.
n
- Work closely with the operations team to deliver outstanding customer service.
n

What You'll Bring

n

n
- Previous experience driving tautliner and tailgate trucks.
n
- Knowledge of Dangerous Goods (DG) requirements.
n
- Sound understanding of Load Restraint (LR) principles.
n
- Positive understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation.
n
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
n
- Ability to perform repetitive manual handling and hand unload freight.
n
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
n
- Reliable, punctual and customer focused.
n
