About the Role
n
As a Senior Accountant, you will manage a portfolio of clients and work closely with the firm's leadership team to provide high-quality accounting, taxation and advisory services.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Directly managing a significant business-focused client base.
n
- Preparation and review of financial statements and income tax returns
n
- Providing tax, accounting and business advisory support to clients
n
- Assisting clients with cloud accounting solutions, primarily Xero
n
- Tax planning and business structuring discussions
n
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
n
- Contributing to practice improvement initiatives and workflow efficiencies
n
- Working closely with directors on strategic client matters
n
n
Skills & Experience
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
- Minimum 5 years' experience within an Australian public practice accounting firm
n
- Strong technical knowledge in taxation and business services
n
- Experience using Xero
n
- Experience with FYI or other practice management software (desirable)
n
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
n
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
n
- Ability to manage workflow and deadlines independently
n
- CA or CPA qualification (or currently undertaking studies)
n
- SMSF knowledge/experience (not essential)
n
- Australian Resident
n
n
