We are seeking an experienced and capable Nurse Manager to provide leadership and operational oversight of Central Ward during a maternity leave period. This is an opportunity to lead a dedicated clinical team and support the delivery of safe, high-quality and patient-centred care.

As the Central Ward Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide clinical and operational leadership to support safe, efficient and high-quality care. your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Coordinate the delivery of clinical care and daily operations across Central Ward
n
- Lead, support and develop nursing staff whole fostering a positive team culture
n
- Managing staffing, rosters and resources within approved budgets and secure-care requirementsPromote contemporary, evidence -based nursing practice and effective clinical handover
n
- Support staff performance, professional development, mandatory training and competencies
n
- lead quality improvement, clinical risk management, audits and accreditation activities
n




- maintain compliance with hospital policies, professional standards and relevant legislation
n
- work clinically when required to support patient care and operational needs
n

What Makes a Difference for Us?

We are seeking an individual who possesses the following:

n

n
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
n
- Demonstrated nursing leadership or management experience
n
- Strong clinical knowledge and experience in a surgical or acute hospital environment
n
- Proven ability to lead, coordinate and support a multidisciplinary team
n
- Experience in workforce planning, rostering and resource management
n
- Strong understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, risk management and quality improvement
n
- Effective communication, interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
n
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff performance, development and workplace change
n
- Strong organisational, prioritisation and decision-making capabilities
n
- Commitment to patient-centred care and SATH's HEART values
