A leading Australian bank is looking to hire a Senior Network Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

n

This is a hands-on role focused on the operation, support and continuous improvement of a large-scale Cisco network workplace. You'll work across internet connectivity, routing, switching and critical network services.

n

The role would suit someone from an ISP background.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Lead troubleshooting and support activities across critical network infrastructure.
n
- Investigate and resolve complex routing, switching and connectivity issues.
n
- Participate in major incident management and problem management activities.
n




- Implement network changes and support strategic technology initiatives.
n
- Act as a senior technical escalation point within the networking team.
n
- Participate in an on-call support roster.
n

Key Requirements

n

n
- Strong WAN and internet routing skills - ISP experience preferred
n
- Strong experience supporting large-scale Cisco network environments.
n
- Advanced routing and switching knowledge, including BGP and OSPF.
n
- Experience working with Cisco Nexus platforms, ideally Nexus 9000.
n
- Advanced troubleshooting skills
n
- Previous experience supporting enterprise firewall technologies.
n
- CCNP or CCIE certification highly regarded.
