About the Role

As an RACQ Roadside Assistance / Tow Truck Operator , you will provide high-quality roadside assistance and towing services to RACQ members throughout the Hervey Bay and surrounding areas.

You will represent Trio Automotive Group and RACQ professionally while ensuring the safety, satisfaction and wellbeing of every customer you assist.

Key Responsibilities

- Attend roadside assistance jobs including flat tyres, vehicle lockouts, battery issues, jump starts and other mechanical assistance
- Provide towing and roadside assistance services safely and efficiently
- Operate tow trucks and roadside assistance vehicles in accordance with company and RACQ procedures
- Assess vehicle issues and provide practical roadside solutions where possible
- Ensure customers are kept informed and receive friendly, professional service
- Maintain the cleanliness,



safety and presentation of allocated work vehicles
- Complete job reports, customer information and other documentation using tablets and computer systems
- Follow workplace health and safety requirements and safe work practices
- Work as part of a professional team servicing Hervey Bay and surrounding areas

Skills & Experience

- Current open Australian car licence – Essential
- MR or HR license preferred or willingness to obtain (for truck roles)
- Sound knowledge of motor vehicles
- Previous roadside assistance, towing, automotive or mechanical experience is highly regardedStrong problem-solving and communication skills
- Computer literate and confident using tablets and mobile technology
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks
- Solid work ethic and reliable attendance
- Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude
- Ability to work independently while also being part of a team
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts, nights and weekends as part of a shared team roster
