Angad Transport is an established transport and logistics organisation based in Epping, Melbourne, and we are seeking an experienced Fleet Controller / Bulk Fleet Allocator to join our dynamic operations team.

n

This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for an experienced transport professional who understands the fast-paced nature of container transport and enjoys coordinating drivers, trucks and daily deliveries and pickups.

n

The successful candidate will primarily work the morning shift (Work from Home facility available for right candidate), with flexibility to assist on weekends when required.

n

About the Role

n

As a Fleet Controller / Bulk Fleet Allocator, you will be responsible for the efficient planning, coordination and day-to-day management of our truck fleet drivers.

n

You will need to be a confident decision-maker who can think outside the box, solve problems quickly and remain calm and focused under pressure.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Plan and prepare next-day operations, including container preloads and driver rosters
n
- Allocate jobs to contract drivers and clearly communicate start times and operational requirements
n
- Book import containers promptly upon availability and allocate them to same-day or next-day runs
n
- Monitor 1-Stop container lists and proactively secure wharf timeslots
n
- Maintain close oversight of missed, delayed or late wharf slots
n
- Maximise two-way container utilisation by matching import and export movements
n
- Assist with problem-solving and operational issues throughout the day
n
- Maintain accurate records and ensure internal systems are kept up to date
n
- Provide strong forward planning to ensure the fleet operates efficiently
n




- Coordinate wharf time slotting and container movements
n

About You

n

We are looking for an experienced transport professional who has:

n

n
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Fleet Controller
n
- At least 2 years' experience in container transport operations
n
- Proven experience managing and coordinating a fleet of trucks
n
- Experience working with subcontractor and owner-driver fleets
n
- Strong understanding of container transport, including wharf pickups and deliveries
n
- Experience using 1-Stop and Containerchain
n
- Previous experience with wharf time slotting
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
n
- The ability to prioritise effectively in a high-volume environment
n
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
n
- The ability to work independently and take initiative
n
- The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
n
- A strong understanding of fatigue management and CoR requirements
n
- The ability to learn and adapt to internal systems and processes quickly
n
