An opportunity is now available for a motivated Field Metering Technician to join our team, servicing sites across South East Queensland.

About the Role

n

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Field Technician to support our metering operations. This role involves working independently across multiple sites, ensuring accurate data collection, maintaining metering equipment, and supporting customer and stakeholder interactions.

n

The works are mainly carried out in Commercial Shopping Centres and Apartment Buildings, and you will be provided with a fully maintained company vehicle, mobile phone, company apparel and appropriate tools. We will provide training and induction including on-site visits.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct on-site inspections of metering equipment to ensure correct operation and identify any faults or irregularities
n
- Record meter data accurately using handheld/mobile systems
n
- Identify and elevate issues such as damaged equipment, access limitations, or potential tampering
n
- Perform authorised adjustments or updates to metering setups where required
n
- Manage customer supply status changes in accordance with instructions
n
- Coordinate site access with property stakeholders including building and strata managers
n




- Maintain clear and professional communication with internal teams regarding site conditions and changes
n
- Represent the business in a professional manner when attending customer or shared facilities
n
- Participate in occasional after-hours work as required (overtime applicable)
n

What We're Looking For

- Ability to work autonomously in a field-based role with minimal supervision
n
- Strong organisational and time management skills
n
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
n
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
n
- Experience interacting with customers or property representatives in a professional setting
n
- Competency using mobile applications and Microsoft Office tools (Excel and Outlook)
n
- Practical problem-solving ability and sound judgement in the field
n
- Basic analytical capability to identify unusual consumption patterns or irregularities
n
- Versatile and adaptable approach to changing work conditions
n
- Commitment to safe work practices and environmental awareness
