ESPH Pharmacy is seeking a motivated and highly organised Dispensary Technician or Intern Pharmacist to join our team in a full-time position.

n

Located onsite at East Sydney Private Hospital in Woolloomooloo, ESPH Pharmacy provides pharmacy services across the hospital, supporting surgical patients, specialists, nursing staff and hospital departments throughout the patient journey.

n

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dispensary technician looking to develop their career in a hospital pharmacy environment, or an intern pharmacist seeking broad practical experience and exposure to both dispensing and hospital pharmacy services.

About the Role

n

Working closely with our pharmacists and hospital clinical teams, you will be involved in the day-to-day operation of a busy and growing private hospital pharmacy.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Dispensing and processing prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
n
- Preparing medications for day surgery and overnight hospital patients
n
- Assisting with pre-operative and post-operative medication requirements
n
- Supporting patient discharge medication services
n
- Processing medication orders and maintaining accurate patient records
n
- Managing dispensary stock, ordering, receiving and stock rotation
n
- Assisting with hospital ward and imprest stock
n
- Liaising with pharmacists, nurses, hospital staff and other healthcare professionals
n
- Maintaining a highly organised, accurate and efficient dispensary
n
- Supporting the pharmacy team with general operational and administrative duties
n




- Providing qualified and friendly service to patients
n

For an intern pharmacist, the position will provide additional opportunities to develop clinical, dispensing and professional practice skills under the supervision of experienced pharmacists.

Previous dispensary experience is highly regarded, although applicants with the right attitude, organisational skills and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
