Registered Nurse (Night Shift), Ballina NSW

We are seeking a caring, dedicated, and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Residential Care team.

n

This role is wide-ranging with opportunities to delve deeper into areas of interest inherent within aged care, including dementia, wounds, palliative care etc.

n

For this role you would be required to work night shifts. The position will be permanent part time 72 hours per fortnight.

n

The Opportunity

n

Competitive hourly rate $51.13 to $60.32 dependent on level/pay point

n

Salary packaging (up to $18,550 per annum) resulting in less tax and higher take home pay

n

Must be willing to work nights (10:30pm to 7:00am)

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Deliver rewarding person-centred and best practice care to our residents and clients
n
- Supervise staff in delivering care and non direct care services
n
- Participate in resident admissions and ongoing assessments
n
- Provide high quality palliative care as part of a multidisciplinary team, including collaborating with our visiting Specialists
n
- High quality medication administrator and manager
n
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and participate in telehealth and case conferencing to achieve positive health outcomes
n

About You

n

n
- Bachelor of Nursing
n
- Current registration with APHRA
n




- Clinically savvy with a strong contemporary focus for the needs of an older person
n
- Sound knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislation
n
- A passion for looking after Older People and commitment to providing a high standard of palliative and end of life care
n
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of staff and stakeholders
n
- Reliable, adaptable and accountable
n
- Ability to consistently act with humility, integrity, respect, understanding
n
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning
n
- Previous experience in Aged Care or other service industries is desirable, but not essential
n
