Job Description

Seeking an experienced Optical Dispenser full time or part-time to join a small team in a 40 year old independent practice in beachside Ballina.

A minimum of 1+ years of optical dispensing experience is required for this position.

n

Superior communication and retail sales experience, care, patience and empathy are a requirement, with an emphasis on excellent customer service as you assist all clients with confidence and respect. A positive attitude and ability to work well within a team, supporting the optometrist and admin staff is an absolute requirement. Suitable applicant must have confidence to work independently and ability to manage time & priorities under pressure.

Sunix practice management system experience is preferred but trainable for someone experienced in the optical language.



The role requires online ordering and edging & fitting of lenses, pre-testing for the optometrist, some administrative aspects and all-important frame selections ,discussion of lens options and repairs and fittings. There is an emphasis on quality products and delivering the best possible personalised outcome and customer satisfaction.

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and personal presentation appropriate for the front-of-house role. Suitable applicant must have confidence to work independently

Australian work rights are required for this position.

n

Relevant optical dispensing experience is acceptable in lieu of formal qualifications.
