Job Description

We are currently looking for a Kitchen Hands and Cooks to join our client's team in Bathurst. This varied position will suit someone who is reliable, practical and enjoys working in a team environment while also being able to work independently.

A Paid Working With Children Check (WWCC) is mandatory for this position.

n

You'll play an important role in preparing meals, supporting day-to-day kitchen operations and ensuring shared spaces are maintained to a high standard.

Responsibilities

n

As a Kitchen Hand and/or Cook, your responsibilities will include:

n

- Preparing and cooking meals while adhering to food safety and hygiene requirements.
n
- Assisting with food preparation, meal service and day-to-day kitchen operations.
n
- Washing and cleaning dishes, utensils, cookware and kitchen equipment.
n
- Maintaining clean and hygienic kitchen,



dining and food preparation areas.
n
- Following all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) procedures and requirements.
n
- Assisting with stock rotation and keeping kitchen supplies organised.
n
- Using cleaning products and equipment safely and ensuring they are stored appropriately.
n
- Working effectively as part of a team while being comfortable working independently.
n
- Helping maintain a welcoming, safe and positive environment for all.
n

Your Profile

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

- A paid WWCC
n
- Previous experience in kitchen, cooking, hospitality or a similar setting.
n
- An understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
n
- Good organisational and time management skills.
n
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
n
- The ability to work efficiently and adapt to changing priorities.
n
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- A reliable, positive and can-do attitude.
