We are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to join an established furniture and logistics operation based in Virginia.

n

This is a varied, hands-on position suited to someone who can organise, coordinate and get the job done.

n

You will play a key role in coordinating freight, interstate jobs, deliveries, labour and furniture assembly while also assisting with the practical warehouse requirements.

n

The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where short-notice jobs can arise, and where strong organisation and communication are essential.

About the Role

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Coordinating and organising interstate jobs from planning through to completion
n
- Booking and coordinating freight and transport
n
- Picking and preparing furniture and equipment for delivery
n
- Coordinating deliveries and dispatch
n
- Loading and unloading containers
n
- Organising labour requirements for individual jobs
n
- Coordinating and assisting with furniture assembly
n
- Supervising and coordinating manual labour as required
n
- Operating a forklift
n
- Ensuring freight, furniture and equipment are prepared correctly and on time
n
- Managing short-notice and time-sensitive jobs
n
- Coordinating interstate work approximately 1-2 times per month
n
- Travelling interstate when required, generally 2-5 nights per trip
n
- Liaising with freight providers, drivers, contractors and internal teams
n
- Maintaining an organised, secure and efficient warehouse
n
- Assisting with general manual warehouse duties when required
n

About You

n

We are looking for someone who is organised,



practical and hands-on, with the ability to coordinate multiple moving parts at once.

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- Previous experience in warehouse coordination, logistics, transport or a similar role
n
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
n
- The ability to coordinate labour and multiple jobs simultaneously
n
- Experience booking and coordinating freight
n
- Excellent communication skills
n
- The ability to work calmly when jobs arise at short notice
n
- A practical, hands-on approach to warehouse operations
n
- Forklift operating experience
n
- Experience loading and unloading containers
n
- The physical ability to undertake manual handling and furniture movement
n
- A willingness to travel interstate when required
n
- A reliable and proactive approach to getting the job completed
n

Requirements

- Current Forklift Licence
n
- White Card
n
- Full Australian working rights
n
- Ability to travel interstate approximately 1-2 times per month
n
- Ability to stay away for approximately 2-5 nights when required
n
- Flu vaccination required
n
- Previous warehouse, logistics, freight or furniture experience highly regarded
n
