The Role
n
Working as part of an experienced maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring plant and equipment continues to operate safely, reliably and efficiently.
n
Your duties will include:
n
n
- Completing scheduled preventative and corrective maintenance
n
- Responding to breakdowns and diagnosing mechanical faults
n
- Maintaining conveyors, bearings, rollers, gearboxes, drive systems and other rotating equipment
n
- Bearing installation, replacement and maintenance
n
- Conducting routine plant inspections and identifying worn or damaged components
n
- Mechanical fault finding and completing repairs to minimise downtime
n
- Completing adjustments, modifications and improvements to plant and equipment
n
- Working alongside other trades to repair, fabricate and modify components
n
- Recording faults and completed maintenance activities
n
- Contributing to continuous improvement and plant reliability initiatives
n
- Maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship
n
n
About You
n
n
- Australian-recognised Mechanical Fitting, Plant Mechanic or equivalent trade qualification
n
- Previous maintenance experience within a heavy industrial, manufacturing, processing, production or materials-handling environment
n
- Experience maintaining conveyors, bearings and rotating equipment
n
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and breakdown experience
n
- Confident completing preventative maintenance and plant inspections
n
- Working at Heights certification
n
- Current EWP licence
n
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
n
- Own tools
n
- Solid safety awareness and attention to detail
n
- Proactive approach and ability to work effectively within a maintenance team
n
