About the Client

Our client is a prominent State Government department dedicated to essential internal operations and community safety.

About the Role

n

Working 38 hours per week on a contract running from 19/10/2026 to 18/04/2027, you will partner with various business units to deliver vital support and advice across the procurement lifecycle.

n

You will be responsible for undertaking moderate procurement and contract management activities on behalf of the agency.

n

Key duties include

n

n
- Supporting business units to deliver effective outcomes that align with Whole of Government priorities.
n
- Assisting the Manager to provide high-level procurement advice and facilitating procurement planning with key stakeholders.
n
- Preparing procurement planning, specification, sourcing, and evaluation documentation for routine and leveraged projects.
n
- Undertaking detailed market research, market analysis, and market sounding.
n
- Conducting vendor negotiations and coordinating evaluation meetings with stakeholders.
n
- Maintaining effective and efficient hard copy and electronic record management systems.
n

About You

n

n




- Efficient time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively amidst competing demands.
n
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, alongside strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
n
- Experience in financial functions and coordinating a wide range of account management tasks.
n
- Proficiency in standard office applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with SAP experience considered advantageous.
n
- A high level of attention to detail and respect for the confidentiality of sensitive information.
n
- A Procurement Level 1 or 2 purchasing certification (or equivalent) is desirable.
