Thrive and Grow Occupational Therapy – Sutherland NSW

Thrive and Grow OT is a mobile paediatric occupational therapy service supporting children and families within their everyday environments. Sessions are predominantly completed within schools, preschools/daycares and family homes across the Sutherland Shire and surrounding areas, with telehealth sessions also provided where appropriate. This is a casual position initially for 1–2 days per week, with the potential to increase over time. The position would suit a new graduate (Level 1) or early-career Occupational Therapist (Level 2) who is looking for a flexible role with support and the chance to develop their paediatric clinical skills.

Key responsibilities

n

Providing individual occupational therapy sessions to children and adolescents with a range of developmental needs

n

Delivering therapy within schools, preschools/daycares and homes

n

Providing telehealth occupational therapy sessions as required

n

Developing engaging, functional and child-centred therapy sessions

n

Presenting education sessions to parents, educators, teachers and other professionals as required

n

Conducting daycare and school-based screeners as required

n

Completing clinical documentation and progress notes

n

Communicating and collaborating with parents, teachers, educators and other health professionals

n

Supporting children and adolescents in areas including fine and gross motor development, handwriting, self-care, emotional regulation, sensory processing,



attention and participation

n

About you

n

AHPRA registered as an Occupational Therapist

n

Level 1 or Level 2 Occupational Therapist

n

Strong interest in working with children and families

n

Friendly, reliable and able to build positive relationships with children

n

Organised and able to manage a mobile caseload

n

Confident working independently while also being comfortable seeking support and guidance

n

Committed to providing practical, family-centred and evidence-informed therapy

n

Current AHPRA registration

n

Own reliable vehicle and ability to travel between appointments

n

Appropriate vehicle insurance for work-related travel

n

Current Working With Children Check

Casual employment – initially 1–2 days per week
