Our client is one of Australia's largest online retailers, operating a flagship site plus a portfolio of subsidiary brands.

n

They're looking for an Online Merchandising Lead to own the workflows, standards and execution of the merchandising function - making sure products are findable, promotions are clearly signposted and navigation genuinely helps customers buy.

n

You'll balance business-as-usual against major projects and seasonal peaks, lead and mentor the merchandising team and act as the escalation point when priorities collide. It's equally about process design and hands-on trading.

What you'll be doing :

n

n
- Own the end-to-end merchandising workflow and prioritise BAU, projects and seasonal activity against commercial goals.
n
- Build and maintain best-practice standards, auditing frameworks and dashboards covering navigation, on-site search and promotional effectiveness.
n
- Be the escalation point for blockers, ambiguous briefs and competing priorities across the business
n
- Report on merchandising KPIs
n
- CTR, bounce rate, search performance - and recommend corrections
n




- Lead the merchandising roadmap and drive structured communication to fix systemic issues rather than symptoms
n
- Act as the key liaison with purchasing, marketplace and engineering on enhancements and prioritisation
n
- Mentor the merchandising team and scale best practice across the group
n

What you'll bring :

n

- Proven experience leading merchandising, content or digital trading workflows, ideally in retail or eCommerce
n
- Strong analytical skills and the confidence to turn dashboards into clear recommendations
n
- Solid grounding in site navigation, in office search and customer journey principles
n
- Excellent communication - you can give a structured update and lead a cross-functional discussion
n
- Experience mentoring others while staying close to execution yourself
n
