Maintenance Technician - Food Manufacturing

Role: Maintenance Technician

n Salary: $125-135,000 + super
n Candidate: Qualified Fitter OR Electrician with FMCG/Food Experience
n Shift: Monday to Friday12:00pm – 8:00pm

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technicianto join a leading FMCG manufacturing business.

n

The Role

n

Working as part of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring plant and equipment operates safely, reliably and efficiently. You will carry out both planned and breakdown maintenance, fault finding and repairs across a highly automated food manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machinery
n
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and/or electrical faults
n
- Troubleshoot automated manufacturing equipment
n
- Carry out equipment servicing, repairs and adjustments
n
- Respond to breakdowns to minimise production downtime
n
- Assist with continuous improvement and maintenance projects




n
- Maintain a safe and compliant working environment
n
- Work closely with production and other maintenance team members
n

n

About You

n

We are open to candidates from either an electrical or mechanical background.

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- Trade qualification as an Electrician or Mechanical Fitter
n
- Previous experience in manufacturing, FMCG or food production
n
- Strong mechanical or electrical fault-finding skills
n
- Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance
n
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving equipment issues
n
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
n

n

Electrical candidates: PLC, sensors, motors, VSDs and automated machinery experience would be advantageous.

n

Mechanical candidates: Experience with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics and production machinery would be highly regarded.
