About the role:

You will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items to meet the standards and expectations of our hotels menu. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient operations and maintain high standards of food quality and safety. The role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.

Ensure all food preparation areas are clean and hygienic in accordance with food safety regulations.

Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimise waste and ensure availability of ingredients.

Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials.

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.

Adhere to food cost controls and portion sizes.

Train and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety procedures.

Handle customer inquiries and special requests regarding menu items.

Assist with ordering supplies and maintaining relationships with vendors.





Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures at all times.

To be considered for this role you must possess the following:

Previous experience as a chef in a pub or similar establishment preferred.

Culinary degree or equivalent certification.

Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced workplace.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Creative approach to menu development and food presentation.

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.

Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.

Positive attitude and passion for delivering excellent customer service.
