About the role

n

Council is seeking a dedicated and reliable Painter to join our team, helping to maintain Council's buildings, facilities and community assets to a high standard

n

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

n

n
- Undertake painting, graffiti removal, signwriting and line marking on Council assets.
n
- Coordinate and complete painting works across Council facilities and community assets.
n
- Prepare surfaces, mix and apply paint and coatings using appropriate equipment and techniques.
n
- Construct and dismantle scaffolding as required.
n
- Order and manage materials required for painting works.
n
- Provide quotes and maintain accurate records of painting work and associated costs.
n
- Complete work orders, asset inspections and required documentation accurately and within required timeframes.
n
- Operate and maintain plant,



vehicles and equipment in accordance with relevant procedures and safety requirements.
n
- Provide qualified advice and options to internal and external customers.
n
- Work collaboratively with other trades and contribute to the day-to-day outputs of the Trades section.
n
- Ensure Australian Standards, Codes of Practice, WHS requirements and Council procedures are followed.

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

n

n
- TAFE Certificate of Trade or equivalent qualification
n
- Current Class C Driver Licence
n
- Traffic Control Certificate
n
- First Aid Certificate
n
- WHS White Card
n
- Minimum five years' relevant painting and trade experience
n
- 38 hours per week/9 day fortnight
n
