Highlands First Aid is a dedicated provider of skilled first aid and medical response services across NSW, and the ACT, including NSW South Coast, and NSW Central West. Events we cover

n

We cover a wide range of events including; Rodeos, Camp Draft, Horse Show Jumping, Dressage, Regional Agriculture Shows, AMCROSS, Moto Cross, Dirt Track Speedway, School Sports, Concerts for up to 10-12,000 people, Industrial Shutdowns, Tulip Time, Cycling events throughout Central NSW, Running Events including Marathons, Rugby, AFL, and Soccer Gala Days, Triathlons, Corporate Events, and many more.

Key responsibilities

n

Provide professional first aid and emergency medical response at assigned events and venues

n

Assess and treat attendees presenting with injuries or medical emergencies in accordance with current protocols and best practice guidelines

n

Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of all patient assessments and treatments provided

n

Establish and maintain medical stations or treatment areas at event venues

n

Communicate effectively with event organisers, venue staff, and other emergency services as required

n

Monitor event areas for potential hazards and take preventative measures to reduce medical incidents

n

Maintain all medical equipment, supplies and consumables in a clean, organised and ready state

n

Respond promptly to emergency calls and medical requests during events

n





Work collaboratively with other first responders and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care delivery

n

Comply with all relevant legislation, regulations, and Highlands First Aid policies, protocols and procedures

n

What we're looking for

n

Current or retired Paramedics with current AHPRA registration

n

Current Paramedicine Students preferably year 2 or above, but not required

n

Minimum Level 2 First Aid Certification or higher (Paramedic or Advanced Paramedic status preferred)

n

Current CPR, AED First Aid certification - HLTAID011, or above

n

Proven experience providing first aid or paramedic services in event or community settings

n

Knowledge of emergency medical protocols and ability to work within established clinical guidelines

n

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure

n

Strong organisational and time management abilities

n

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

n

Current Working with Children Check (WWC) or willingness to obtain one if required for specific events

n

Current police clearance or National Police Clearance

n

Current drivers license, reliable transport and willingness to travel to various locations within the region

n

Flexible approach to shift work and availability for weekend and evening events

n
