About the role
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team on a 12-month maternity leave contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional with demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing to play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services, maintaining employee records, and supporting payroll compliance across the organisation.
This includes
- Calculating earning and distributing wages and salaries within specified timeframes.
- Process and capture timesheets for monthly, weekly, and fortnightly paid employees.
- Maintaining up to date knowledge of agreements/awards and contract interpretation in relation to leave entitlements, overtime, allowances etc.
- Assisting with the payment and reconciliation of payroll, superannuation payments, payroll deductions, payroll tax and fringe perks tax.
- Assisting with preparation of relevant management reports, such as weekly, monthly, quarterly and year end reports on hours worked, leave accruals and tax deductions.
- Maintaining records of leave accruals.
- Update and maintain payroll records.
- Create,
review and analyse leave reports.
- Liaise with employees and management on payroll inquiries.
- Undertake payroll administration duties, such as filing and new starter set up.
- Assists with calculating and processing termination payments.
- Review processes and recommend improvements to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the payroll function.
- Liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders for the purpose of ensuring accurate processing of Payroll.
- Support the finance team with Payroll and reporting duties as directed.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing within a medium to large organisation
- Experience in a similar position.
- Must demonstrate the ability of effective time management and organisational skills.
- Team player, a self-starter with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work under pressure & achieve work deadlines.Experience in ADP an advantage
