Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Transformer Technician to join Powertech supporting our Brisbane office on a Full-Time Permanent Basis .

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

n

n
- Commissioning andMaintenancetestingofHV Power Transformers.
n
- Construction, Assembly,and repairs toHV Power Transformers, Bushing installation/replacement, leak repairs onsite and in workshop environment.
n
- Proven experience with application of vacuum and performingOil filtration/degasification.
n
- Assist in preparation of commissioning/testing documentation,



test plans and create detailed technical reports upon completion of works.
n
- Carry out JSHAs etc. prior to commencing any new works to identify hazards and implement the necessary controls.
n
- Primary Testing of HV/LV Transformers (i.e. Tan Delta/Voltage Ratio/Winding Resistance/Dielectric Response/SFRA, Oil Sampling)
n
- Knowledge of Circuit breakerand Switchboard testingwould be highly advantageous
n

Experience, skills and qualifications

n

n
- Unrestricted QLD Electrical Fitter and Mechanics License
n
- Minimum 4years' experience post trade.
n
- Valid Driver's License.
n
- HV Switching Ticket preferred.
n
- Knowledge of appropriate Australian Standards.
n
- Proven ability meeting project quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
n
- Ability to promote a high standard of safety, professionalism, and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
