The College is seeking an enthusiastic, suitably qualified and committed Acting Curriculum Leader: Health Studies to join our school community in a full-time fixed-term replacement position from Friday 15 January 2027 until December 2028 to cover a period of leave. At the conclusion of the acting appointment, this chance will transition into a permanent teaching position with the College.

The successful applicant will have the capacity to teach Senior Health and will be welcomed into a collaborative, high-performing learning environment where student wellbeing, academic excellence and personal growth are prioritised. Key responsibilities

- Lead and inspire a dynamic Health Studies faculty, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and excellence in teaching and learning
n
- Drive the development, implementation and review of curriculum, assessment and reporting practices to ensure high-quality learning outcomes for students
n
- Mentor and develop teachers through coaching, classroom observation, professional dialogue and evidence-based feedback that supports professional growth
n
- Use student achievement data and contemporary educational research to guide continuous improvement in curriculum delivery and student outcomes
n




- Contribute to the strategic leadership of the College by promoting the Mary Ward ethos and supporting initiatives that enhance learning, wellbeing and student success
n

- Ability to teach Senior Health highly desirable
n
- Enthusiastic and student-focused educator passionate about inspiring young women to achieve their personal best

- Strong curriculum knowledge

- Excellent relationship-building skills

- Commitment to fostering engaging and inclusive learning environments

- Enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues and leading a team

- Committed to contributing to the wider life of the College

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE), or willingness to obtain this qualification
n
