DIESEL + TRUCK MECHANIC – SMITH SERVICES – IMMEDIATE START

Smith Services is growing - and we're looking for a Diesel + Truck Mechanic to join the team!

n

Due to continued growth in our current workload and fleet size, we are looking for a full-time Diesel Mechanic to take care of our fleet of earthmoving machinery, trucks and vehicles.

n

This is a great opportunity for a hands‐on mechanic who enjoys variety, working on quality equipment and being part of a solid local team.

THE ROLE

n

You'll be responsible for keeping our fleet maintained, serviced and ready to work, including:

n

- Earthmoving machinery
n
- Trucks & trailers
n
- Light vehicles
n
- Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
n
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues
n
- Breakdown and general mechanical repairs
n
- Keeping maintenance records up to date
n

n

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

n

n
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
n




- Experience working on earthmoving equipment, trucks or heavy machinery
n
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- Reliable, practical and safety-focused attitude
n
- HR licence and/or experience with heavy machinery is an advantage
n
