EATS Caloundra is seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at our busy Kawana café. At EATS, we are passionate about quality food, great customer experiences and creating a positive and inclusive workplace. We are looking for a Chef who shares our commitment to high standards and enjoys working as part of a fast-paced hospitality team.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing, cooking and presenting meals to a consistently high standard
n
- Planning and developing menu items in conjunction with management
n
- Monitoring food quality, presentation and portion control
n
- Managing food preparation and kitchen workflow during busy service periods
n
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering and inventory control
n
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements
n
- Supervising and supporting junior kitchen staff
n
- Maintaining an organised, clean and efficient kitchen
n




- Working closely with the café management and front-of-house teams to provide an exceptional customer experience
n

About you

n

n
- At least 2 years' relevant experience in a commercial café or restaurant kitchen
n
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
n
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
n
- Ability to work effectively in a busy and fast-paced environment
n
- Strong organisational and communication skills
n
- A genuine passion for hospitality, quality food and customer service
