Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Cloud & IT Operations Engineer to take ownership of a technology organisation's Azure and AWS cloud environments, Microsoft 365 tenant and internal IT operations.

This is a hands-on role covering cloud infrastructure, identity and access, M365 administration, automation, security implementation and service desk operations.

The Role

n

Reporting to the CTO, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operation and improvement of the organisation's cloud and internal IT workplace, with a strong focus on Azure infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID and access management.

n

You will work across cloud environments, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, automation, licensing and cost management, while implementing technical security requirements in partnership with the Security & Compliance function.

n

The role also includes oversight of the internal IT service desk, with a focus on improving documentation, automating recurring requests and introducing greater self-service across the business.

About You

n

You will have at least 3 years' experience across cloud infrastructure, platform engineering,



DevOps or IT operations, with strong hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.

n

You will also bring:

- Azure experience across compute, networking, storage, App Service, Entra ID, RBAC and cost management
n
- PowerShell, Bash or Python scripting capability
n
- Infrastructure-as-code experience with Bicep or Terraform
n
- Strong technical documentation practices
n
- Azure experience across compute, networking, storage, App Service, Entra ID, RBAC and cost management
n
- Microsoft 365 tenant administration, including Exchange Online
n
- PowerShell, Bash or Python scripting capability
n
- Infrastructure-as-code experience with Bicep or Terraform
n
- CI/CD pipeline administration experience

- Strong technical documentation practices

Experience with Intune/MDM, AWS, endpoint protection, Windows Server, SQL Server, cloud cost optimisation or enterprise ERP environments would be advantageous. Microsoft certifications including AZ-104, AZ-500 or SC-300 would also be viewed favourably.
