The opportunity:

n

We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Payroll Officer to join our Head Office team in Breakwater.

n

We're open to candidates looking for 3 days per week through to full-time, depending on experience and availability. Monday and Tuesday are required working days due to our weekly payroll cycle.

n

This is a 100% on-site role based at our Breakwater Head Office.

n

In this role, you will be responsible for:

n

n
- Preparing and processing accurate and timely weekly payroll
n
- Reviewing and checking a high volume of employee timesheets
n
- Processing superannuation, PAYG tax and other payroll-related requirements
n
- Managing WorkCover requirements, including annual renewals and ongoing administration
n
- Responding to employee payroll, pay and leave enquiries
n
- Interpreting and applying relevant Modern Awards and payroll legislation
n
- Identifying payroll discrepancies and resolving issues before payroll is finalised
n
- Preparing,



reviewing and analysing payroll reports
n
- Maintaining accurate employee and payroll records
n
- Supporting the business with payroll compliance and continuous improvement
n

You'll enjoy the role if you:

n

n
- Have proven experience working in payroll, ideally within a multi-site or high-volume environment
n
- Have a strong understanding of superannuation, PAYG tax and WorkCover requirements
n
- Have experience interpreting Modern Awards, with knowledge of the General Retail Industry Award and/or Storage Services and Wholesale Award highly regarded
n
- Enjoy problem-solving and investigating payroll or timesheet discrepancies
n
- Have strong communication skills and are confident working with employees, managers and external providers
n
- Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in getting payroll right
n
- Can work autonomously while still being a collaborative member of the wider team
n
- Are confident using Microsoft Excel, Outlook and payroll/time attendance system
n
