PFM Technical Services, part of PFM Logistics, is looking for a hands-on Print Equipment Technician – Run-Up & Warehouse to join our Sydney operation.

n

This is a varied role combining technical equipment preparation, print run-up processes and warehouse operations.

n

Working alongside our experienced Run-Up Technician, you'll learn PFM's processes for preparing, configuring, testing and commissioning multifunction print devices before they are deployed to customers.

n

You'll also be an active member of our warehouse operation, assisting with the movement, staging and handling of equipment and general warehouse duties.

n

About the Role

n

Your primary workplace will be our technical workshop within our Sydney warehouse.

n

A key part of the role will be supporting our current Run-Up Technician and progressively learning the complete equipment run-up process.

n

You will learn how to prepare equipment from receipt through to customer-ready condition, including configuration, testing, accessories,



print setup and quality checking.

n

As your technical knowledge develops, there will also be opportunities to become involved in customer installations, networking and technical support.

n

When required, you'll work alongside our warehouse team to support the broader operation.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

Print Equipment Run-Up & Technical Support

n

n
- Supporting our Run-Up Technician with day-to-day equipment preparation
n
- Learning PFM's complete print equipment run-up and commissioning processes
n
- Unpacking, assembling and preparing multifunction devices
n
- Installing accessories and components
n
- Configuring and testing equipment prior to dispatch
n
- Performing print and functionality testing
n
- Identifying and troubleshooting equipment faults
n
- Refurbishing and recommissioning used equipment
n
- Ensuring equipment is completed to PFM's quality standards
n
- Maintaining an organised and effective technical workshop
n

Technical Development & Installations

n

As your skills and experience develop, you will also learn and assist with:

n

n
- Installation and commissioning of multifunction devices at customer sites
n
- TCP/IP network configuration
n
- Print driver installation and configuration
n
- Scan-to-email and scan-to-folder setup
n
- PC and Mac print environments
n
- Troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues
n
- Customer technical support
n

n

Warehouse & Logistics

n

This is a hands-on operational role, and you will also assist with:

n

n
- Receiving and handling photocopiers and associated equipment
n
- Equipment staging and preparation for dispatch
n
- Stock and inventory movements
n
- Container unloading
n
- Loading and unloading trucks and vehicles
n




- Forklift operation where licensed
n
- General warehouse duties as required
n

n

What We're Looking For

n

We're looking for someone with the right attitude and technical aptitude who wants to learn and develop.

n

Previous photocopier or print industry experience would be highly regarded, but depending on your background, it isn't necessarily essential.

n

You may currently work in the print/copier industry, IT support, electronics, technical servicing, warehousing or another hands-on technical environment.

n

Ideally, you'll have:

- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude

- An interest in IT, networking and technology

- Good problem-solving skills
n
- Confidence using computers and learning new systems
n
- A practical, hands-on approach to work
n
- Willingness to undertake both technical and warehouse duties
n
- Good attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team
n
- Good communication and customer service skills
n
- A current Australian driver's licence
n
- Australian working rights
n
- Forklift licence preferred, or willingness to obtain one
n
