Capitano is looking for an Restaurant Supervisor to join our management team.

Capitano is a fast-paced environment, with a focus on good produce and Italian-ish food. We work with small farms and local suppliers. We are a long-standing, neighbourhood restaurant with a hard working and friendly team.

The roleAs Restaurant Supervisor, you will:

- Lead and supervise restaurant services
n
- Help coordinate the FOH team throughout the shift
n
- Set the standard for warm, professional and efficient service
n
- Support the training and development of junior staff
n
- Work closely with the kitchen and management team during service
n
- Help manage reservations, guest requests and larger bookings
n
- Maintain presentation, cleanliness and service standards
n
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
n
- Help resolve guest issues calmly and professionally
n
- Develop your knowledge of our food, wine and beverage offering
n
- Step up and take responsibility for the floor when required
n

About you

n

n
- Have solid experience working in quality restaurants
n
- Have previous supervisory experience, or are a strong senior waiter ready to take the next step
n




- Are confident running a busy restaurant floor
n
- Communicate clearly and enjoy leading people
n
- Have a genuine interest in food, wine and hospitality
n
- Can remain organised and composed during a busy service
n
- Understand that great service can be professional without being formal
n
- Enjoy working as part of a close-knit team
n
- Take pride in the small details that make a restaurant feel good
n
- Wine knowledge is an advantage, but a willingness to learn is just as important.
